Back to the beach!

We haven't been to Galveston since Hurricane Ike and this was Layla's first trip to the beach. Ahhhh, the smell of fish on brown sandy beaches. The best part - Layla probably thought we were Destin Florida, she LOVED it!

My Little Gymnast

Today was Layla's 1st offical Gymnastics class. Ohhhh, what an experience! (she LOVED her leotard-danced around the house in it for several hours) It all started out fun and exciting, until Layla noticed the ball pit. I think she would live in there if I allowed her to. I've never heard so many "no's" in Layla's life. She didn't want to try anything else after that!

All in all I think the class was definitely not beginner level and I was out of breath by the end of it. We'll move down a level for Layla and mommy!! It's been waaaaay too long since I've done any gymnastics! Hope you enjoyed the pics of my little gymnast.

Saturday was quite an eventful day for Layla at Jump N Jungle. She had a blast with all of her family and friends! We could hardly get her to stop for a second to take a picture. We're excited to start our summer with all of her new toys - baby dolls, books, bubbles, water toys, and lots of clothes!

I'm not sure if I would call it "terrible two's" just yet, but here are Layla's list of them...
1. I not momma's baby anymore, I a big girl mommy

2. mommy go away, I fix it

3. no I not

4. go away, I do it

And my favorite phrase right now....

"god is good, god is great" as she holds her little tiny chubby hands together in a prayer clasp (coming soon on video!)

When I look at my Layla, I think to myself, man God is good!

Almost 2!

On May 21st, our baby girl will be 2 yrs old!! The days have flown by in the blink of an eye and are filled with so many moments of laughter and some tears. We will cherish every year. Enjoy looking at my BIG girl, formerly my little baby, although she always will be. (we think she might have a little bit of craziness from her mommy-she's such an entertainer!)
